About Malmborg's Garden Center

Malmborg’s Garden Center, established in 1958, was purchased by George Lucht in 1972 after he had worked for the Malmborg’s family for many years. Malmborg's Garden Center had earned an excellent reputation in the community and George decided to keep the name "Malmborg's" and add "Geraniums by George" as his own personal touch. George expanded the business in 1976 when he purchased the current growing range in Rogers, MN and developed greenhouses and a retail store on the site. We root over 1,300 varieties of plants, producing over five million plants, which are brought in from around the world. We grow finished plants for our own Garden Centers and other retailers in our area. There are always new and interesting varieties at Malmborg's G

Every time I come here, I enjoy the time spent. Today Audrey helped me find cat-friendly low-light plants and Barb the Cashier remembered me from a month ago!

Excellent customer service and a wide array of special colors for many types of annuals. Also the prices are decent for the area!

A beautiful and large nursery, My family has been coming here for many years. Their prices are very fair and there is always a staff member nearby to answer questions. They also have a Kettle Popcorn truck in the front that has some very tastey kettle popcorn.

Warmed this country girl's heart and my 8 & 10 year old loved it too! My recommendation come with lots of room in the car to bring home purchases. Or perhaps it's only me that comes home with 3 trays of strawberry plants!
